This is for the real TV fan.
Very impressive screen size.
Great for watching sports, HD movies.
Picture quality varies alot depending on the source etc.
Some shows look really good, and others not so much.
The picture quality is not that good for dark scenes.
The screen is very reflective. So, you must watch in a dark or low lit room. No direct light on the TV!!. I have black out shades on my windows, and it works out well.
The sound system is ok, not great. I have my own surround sound system. I recommend getting your own sound system. You need at least 10-12 ft distance between you and the TV. If you like to watch sports and HD movies, live entertainment shows,reality shows etc. I thinkl you will really like this TV. Must be watched In HD!!for a good picture.

I was speachless the picture just blew me away
The only other screen that beats this one is IMAX 3D the picture is that good

Now.......A couple of things
The remote is not illuminated but still very easy to use
Make sure that there is no light behind you or you will see picture glare (light reflection)
The picture is so good that you can tell where the movie producers have edited some people may not like this as the picture can be crystal clear and go slightly grainy but that's being picky
Make sure your sitting at least 10 feet from the screen and don't forget this TV is 192 pounds
3D viewing was limited to Blu-ray 3D Hubble and I was not as impressed yet
However I'm waiting for a copy of Avatar in 3D as reference
I bought a Blu-ray special edition of "THE EXOCIST"
Honestly I'm to scared to watch it on this massive screen the picture is that real

The only good thing about Mitsubishi tv's is the large size for the price.
The electronics are HORRIBLE and their customer service is even worse.
I spent most of my time trying to work out issues with my tv instead of watching it, and Mitsubishi didn't care one bit. They're content wish churning out large defective TV's rather than anything that will work more than 3 months. Total waste of thousands of dollars. Take it from a Mitsubishi owner, spend your thousands on a higher quality manufacturer.

This DLP TV is the largest affordable set on the market today. Piture is stunning in a light controlled room. Very close to Plasmas blacks. If you choose to purchaase this TV make certain you sit 12 feet away from the unit. Place it on a stand no taller than 14 inches. The brightness/contrast has improved from the 2010 models, but at the cost of screen glare. If you do all of your TV watching at night; no problem.
Another setback for this unit is a 3D judder issue when viewing 3D movies. You will not notice it on 3D DirecTV material.
UPDATE : The 3D judder issue has been corrected with the latest firware update. You must download the zip file to a USB staorage device and plug it into the rear USB input of the TV. Unplugging the TVs power and then turning it back on while the USB device is inserted. NOTE Not all TVs suffer from this issue
So, if you're into the largest AFORDABLE screen size for the money; it's a no brainer to buy this set. But, if you have a room with any light coming in; it will cause rather bothersome reflections off the TV screen.

I had the 73 inch wd73835 for one and a half years and was very satisfied with the picture quality and the 3D was very good as well. I upgraded to the wd92840 and am happy with the quality of most HiDef programming but the standard definition programs are not nearly as nice. It seems that the screen size magnifies any video noise and picture imperfections.
The 3D quality is not as good as the 73 inch either and the screen is so much more reflective then the 73 inch as well. I love the TV size and I just close the blinds if needed. I am happy with the purchase and would do it again but I would recommend people go see the TV at a local store before buying so you understand the TVs limitations.
Although dissapointing at first release, overall, I grade this set a solid grade B.

Picture is unbelievable, upgraded from the 62" DLP which I had since 2006, and just replaced the bulb this year... Mitsubishi makes great DLP's. I almost purchased the Vizio 65"...until I actually looked at the picture at a Sam's club. don't believe me look at the pixelling, its not even on the same scale as this DLP.
This 92" picture is FLAWLESS on the Diamond series. Sound is great right from the TV, I use a Sony 7.2 on mine (duel subs). I have the TV in a 22' X 20' family room with exterior windows along the entire back of the room and I do not have any issues seeing the picture...much brighter than the 62" even with the new bulb.
We love the picture quality, features, etc.... only slight negatives at all are (1) that you have to use a USB Wireless adaptor if you want to use the Streaming apps from the TV and (2) the remote (is chincy and looks cheap).
They needed to include a nice Logitech 1100 or Sony RMN-U1 remote or equilent. (3) It does not come with 3D glasses, and don't by the cheap ones..only buy the Xpands for this TV, 2 different pair of off brands do NOT work with this TV. Overall we LOVE this TV, its definately makes a statement.
