The only good thing about Mitsubishi tv's is the large size for the price.
The electronics are HORRIBLE and their customer service is even worse.
I spent most of my time trying to work out issues with my tv instead of watching it, and Mitsubishi didn't care one bit. They're content wish churning out large defective TV's rather than anything that will work more than 3 months. Total waste of thousands of dollars. Take it from a Mitsubishi owner, spend your thousands on a higher quality manufacturer.

This DLP TV is the largest affordable set on the market today. Piture is stunning in a light controlled room. Very close to Plasmas blacks. If you choose to purchaase this TV make certain you sit 12 feet away from the unit. Place it on a stand no taller than 14 inches. The brightness/contrast has improved from the 2010 models, but at the cost of screen glare. If you do all of your TV watching at night; no problem.
Another setback for this unit is a 3D judder issue when viewing 3D movies. You will not notice it on 3D DirecTV material.
UPDATE : The 3D judder issue has been corrected with the latest firware update. You must download the zip file to a USB staorage device and plug it into the rear USB input of the TV. Unplugging the TVs power and then turning it back on while the USB device is inserted. NOTE Not all TVs suffer from this issue
So, if you're into the largest AFORDABLE screen size for the money; it's a no brainer to buy this set. But, if you have a room with any light coming in; it will cause rather bothersome reflections off the TV screen.

I had the 73 inch wd73835 for one and a half years and was very satisfied with the picture quality and the 3D was very good as well. I upgraded to the wd92840 and am happy with the quality of most HiDef programming but the standard definition programs are not nearly as nice. It seems that the screen size magnifies any video noise and picture imperfections.
The 3D quality is not as good as the 73 inch either and the screen is so much more reflective then the 73 inch as well. I love the TV size and I just close the blinds if needed. I am happy with the purchase and would do it again but I would recommend people go see the TV at a local store before buying so you understand the TVs limitations.
Although dissapointing at first release, overall, I grade this set a solid grade B.

Picture is unbelievable, upgraded from the 62" DLP which I had since 2006, and just replaced the bulb this year... Mitsubishi makes great DLP's. I almost purchased the Vizio 65"...until I actually looked at the picture at a Sam's club. don't believe me look at the pixelling, its not even on the same scale as this DLP.
This 92" picture is FLAWLESS on the Diamond series. Sound is great right from the TV, I use a Sony 7.2 on mine (duel subs). I have the TV in a 22' X 20' family room with exterior windows along the entire back of the room and I do not have any issues seeing the picture...much brighter than the 62" even with the new bulb.
We love the picture quality, features, etc.... only slight negatives at all are (1) that you have to use a USB Wireless adaptor if you want to use the Streaming apps from the TV and (2) the remote (is chincy and looks cheap).
They needed to include a nice Logitech 1100 or Sony RMN-U1 remote or equilent. (3) It does not come with 3D glasses, and don't by the cheap ones..only buy the Xpands for this TV, 2 different pair of off brands do NOT work with this TV. Overall we LOVE this TV, its definately makes a statement.
Perfection you have the Mitsubishi Electric products is not complete if you do not read and follow the operating instructions that are in the user manual that was included on each Mitsubishi Electric products. It is advisable to read the manual first before you use Mitsubishi Electric products and follow all the rules that exist in it to get a highly optimized results.
